So, is Ross no longer planning on not submitting his score to TG out of protest? I thought he was gonna get the WR and hold it hostage to make a point. Just wondering watch happened with that sort of idea.

The point of me asking this was because it seemed like it was a matter of principle concerning not just the submission fees, but also their views on mame submissions. Even if for him the submission would be absolutely free, and even if he did the score on an arcade machine, and even further, even if it wasn't even the WR, one could still intentially not submit a good score with the explicit purpose of representing an opinion on those matters.

I haven't watched the game, but I'm gonna propose the possibility that Ross intentionally got second place...

Second would make him, well, second, and also qualify for the KO (his priority), but would not come with the numerous additional "complications" of a new world record.

I will develop this conspiracy theory further over the coming days.

I watched it and I do not think he was trying for 2nd place at all. He had to get some what lucky to get 2nd place at the end while he sacked his 2 men and he just didnt get enough points. If that fireball had gone up instead of stayed on the board at 21-5 he would have been REAL close if not there.

Bumped is bumped. If you are not in the top 12 on the day of the deadline you will have to follow whatever other ways are available to play. No one is grandfathered in until that day.

Also, no you cannot just have me watch you play online. There are certain locations that you can play and not have to pay submission fees because there is a local ref on hand or a sanctioned location with machines verified by competent professionals. I provide my game room and my expertise to anyone who wants to set a serious record for free because I love the hobby and the gamers. For the record, my two recent scores I paid for because I had to have a ref verify them and that took his time, so he was compensated. I paid at exactly the same rate as everyone else, and I'm not on here complaining about it. It was worth it to me. If its not worth it to you then submit to marp, find a location, or just be satisfied in your head that you did what you did.

Ken, how is the deadline going to work with "when the game is performed" and "when it actually gets up on the board?" Ross' game is TG verified but not on the board yet. At worst case, say I get a  score Oct 23, next day air it to Stephen Boyer on the 24th, I still can't be guaranteed it'll be up and valid for the 25th. JUst trying to pick the best real date for the deadline considering mail and review stil needs to happen afterwards.

Hey dude!  I've been busy as hell the past few months, but thought Ross' score warranted registration on the forum.  I'll have to tune in to more streams now, since it looks like competition is heating up.

Those shows should be a blast.  They're on fire right now, and Wooster is a great place to see them.  I'll be hitting the Atlantic City shows for Halloween.  Did you get to see them this summer?
