I feel like I should rep NJ in this thread.

Good idea.  Let's keep that general theme going.

I've seen Commander Cody and his band perform twice (more than 25 years apart).

This modified cover tune always brings a smile to my face:

Last one from me this week.
I have become addicted to this one, this could have easily been a Bowie hit imo.

My favorite Pink Floyd composition of all time, presented in its entirety (all 9 parts):

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond

I've added "fmt=22" to the YouTube URL, for HQ audio.  I've never used it before and I have no idea if it makes an appreciable difference.

My personal standout moment in this song occurs at the 7:35 mark, when Gilmour's guitar kicks back in.  Jeremy is painfully aware of this preference.

Haha, no pain here. It's one of the greatest guitar licks in recorded history. The hair stands up on the back of my neck every time I hear it. I'm a Pink Floyd fanatic, so I wouldn't mind people posting their entire discography here. Kappa

Also, I must commend you on finding a YouTube video that does not contain pitch-shifted audio. Many uploaders will alter the pitch of music uploads in order to evade YouTube's automated copyright infringement detection system...and it drives me absolutely insane to hear music I love so horribly butchered.

<Allen> played a pitch-shifted Dark Side of the Moon for several streams in a row awhile back and I nearly died.

Pink Floyd - Fearless
A solid track on an album that is very much about contrast and "ebb and flow"; of mood, texture, dynamics..."Echoes"  Kreygasm

I'll throw in a lesser known Floyd track, more in their earlier style...without so much psychedelic noodling.

Pink Floyd - Biding My Time

Pink Floyd - Biding My Time

I love that track.  It has been added to my playlist.

The "Relics" (1971) album is among a handful of Pink Floyd releases I do not own, the others being:

1969  More
1972  Obscured By Clouds
2014  The Endless River

Part of the song is reminiscent of "Sunny Afternoon" by the Kinks.

After this verse (and the instrumental buildup):

And if you don't mind
I'll spend my time
Here by the fire side
In the warm light and the love in her eyes

I half-expected this to come next:

Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze
I got a big fat mama trying to break me

Anyone else hear that, or is it just me?

I really hate it when a member of one of my favorite bands dies.

I've been tearing through their early albums lately, too, and looking forward to the awesome documentary that recently got made about their 10+ years in the trenches trying to make it in the music business.  Here's the fantastic trailer (very NSFW):

The director gave a great interview in October 2013:

And last but not least, I just finished Dee's memoirs, and it's a great read:

Dee should do motivational seminars.
