Joe Sample was a gifted composer and pianist, and a founding member of the Jazz Crusaders.

I was saddened to learn that he passed away on 09/12/2014 at the age of 75.

I saw these guys 3 years ago at the House Of Blues in Boston.  They opened the show with a song that reminded me of the first Kong Off:  "Vincent Of Jersey"   :)

I was mystified by the title, until I read that "Jeep" was the name of Clapton's dog that had been stolen.  The pet was Clapton's first since childhood, and appeared on the cover of his "There's One In Every Crowd" album (1975):
