Monitor issue
« on: May 20, 2014, 01:58:53 am »
So I picked up my new machine today and it has a little monitor issue.
It seemed fine with the 49-1 in bit I only played a short game of dk.
I got it home and put the 60-1 in it and I seem to have some issues.
With ms pacman only is now green.
It needs a degause I can see that in the top right but will this fix the other problem?
Also I need to adjust the whole picture to the left and maby shrink it a tad, how is this done?
Pictures attached.
Thank you

Hey Nick,

Pretty much any photo editing software (even MS Paint) has the tools to rotate, resize, and crop an image.

Yeah, shortly after replying I began to suspect that I had answered a question that wasn't asked.   :)

Dip #2 toggles VGA (on) and CGA (off) on the 60-1s. Not sure if that's the problem.

Do you know what kind of monitor it is? Have you tried adjusting the vertical width?

Yeah I tried the very width, it moves the picture
but the "curl" is still there,
I have noticed it's fine on a cold start for about 6-7 mins then it starts but the pic is as bad as it gets.
The monitor is a nanao kz-20en.  Or a nanao kz-20es. I'll have to check again but I'd put money I. It being one if those 2

Thank you

Yeah I spoke to a bloke it's a cap or transistor under the fly back, common problem apparently.

The monitor was sold as sega mc2000s in the states aswell,
A bloke here makes replacement chassis for them if anyone ever needs one.
