Ripping off McDonald's are we?
My take is that Steve is not paying tribute to the "Golden Arches", but rather the "Golden Boy from Down Under", the eminently quotable Allen McStaal. 
Yer. I abhor McDonalds. There was a day during the Funspot tourney where I was in a hurry and grabbed McDonalds for lunch and then played many games of Pac & Pal and much like an archvillain (pun intended), had to take a good long look in the mirror at what I had become if even for that one brief moment.
