Donkey Kong Jr to make guest appearance in BOTA2

I'll take a quick minute to post that after including DK in the original Battle of the Arcades tournament, the second incarnation welcomes DK Jr into the fray. 

If anyone on the forum has any interest in playing in this event from an individual or team perspective.  LMK.

Note:  For games that cannot be set to tournament settings, they will have a 1 hour time limit on standard TG settings.  You are responsible for timing your game.

The majority of the games must be original, no more than 4 of the 12 can be emulated via MAME/60-1 boards, etc.

Donkey Kong was in the one played last year.  This year DK Jr is in the tourney, not DK.

Ah I would be interested in participating but all I have is a mame setup at my house. How does this work and what is required to participate?

Dan,

If you want to participate, you have 2 choices:

1- join one of the teams above depending on your geographic location (contact the team captain) OR

2- form your own team.  If you form your own team you need to have access to all the games above (could be at a local arcade for example).  I believe for the purpose of the competition multicades are OK, but I'm not sure about MAME.

BTW, I don't think you can compete from your house.  You have to physically show up (that's part of the point and it's more fun that way too).

What the heck is diet Donkey Kong?

I was looking forward to playing this at the Battle of the Arcades ..  I will be playing Live on Saturday during this event .   Last event i was talking about having my own team of players ...  With the games being so Random  you have to have a arcade full of classic games to make this happen.  I guess thats not the case for me .
