I firmly believe that almost ANYONE who sticks with classic arcade gaming will get their 15 minutes of fame. Of course when I say that, I am talking about one of numerous ways to get your 15 minutes of fame. But yeah, almost everyone will get their moment in the sun in some way or another. Of course many have gotten multiple moments in the sun, but still, here are 10 ways of what I would consider getting 15 minutes of fame.
1. Having an article written about you in a national arcade gaming site like Kataku, or Wired.
2. Having a speaking part in a documentary.
3. Being on a Walter Day trading card
4. Winning a physical or online tournament like Funspot, Galaga Championship, Funspot, BOTA, Yolympics, or IGBY
5. Having your score and name listed in a Guinness Book of Gaming World Records.
6. Having a gaming video get 10,000 views.
7. Doing a speaking panel at a gaming convention
8. Getting a Donkey Kong, or Donkey Kong Junior killscreen live.
9. Getting a World Record Live.
10. Having an article written about you in the home town newspaper.
So yeah, almost anyone if they are in the scene long enough will have one of those 10 things happen to them. I am almost positive on that.
