They said on arcade culture that it was going to be top 12 with dedicated machines.  So the cutoff is up to how high the competitors make it.  But a million is a huge achievement.  Congrats Steve!

Steve was one of the wildcard players at KO2.  Chris has written about him on his blog.  He has a 964K officially on TG on top of being an awesome guy.
