All the tips suggested will get you on your way to higher and higher scores.  Just keep practicing the elevators and you will improve.  Good luck.

Thank you Captain and LD, am trying to just practice the spring boards every night for at least an hour until I get them. I ended up buying one of these Donkey Kong machines from Suncoast Arcade http://suncoastarcade.com/game_mspb.html

They are a local company (which is a huge plus) so I am going this weekend to pick it up when its finished.

Which one did you buy out of curiosity the 60 games or 412? I have the 412 and im generally pleased with it but I noticed theres a few games you need 2 joysticks for. No biggie either way unless for some god forsaken reason your a krull fan lol.

Thanks Dan the man! And Mschrock I bought the 412 games in one. Only reason I considered getting the 60 is because the high scores save but everyone said I was crazy to not just spend another $50 (since I was spending a decent amount anyway) to get 350 more games which I know I do want. Only downside is the score doesnt save on the 412 which doesnt really make sense to me.

It would be cool to play Tapper and Robotron but I dont think they are even on there haha.

Nice that you bought a machine.  I'm in the plans to make a cab.  Just have to actually build the cab.  The rest I have sitting waiting.  Just a suggestion, there are several techniques to pass the elevators.  Make sure you practice the proper way.  What I mean is you ingrain the right way to have success.  Don't practice for an hour with wrong technique  or you will have a hard  time passing the screen.
