OK, I have answered this question in another thread, but I decided to answer this question in it's own thread. As many know, Donkey Kong Junior gives out points a little more liberally than Donkey Kong. Because of this we need a conversion rate to show what a Donkey Kong Junior score is in relation to a Donkey Kong score. I will do that.
First off, for all killscreeners of Donkey Kong Junior the math is pretty easy.
Subtract 200,000 points
So if your high is 800,000 in Donkey Kong Junior, than your equivalent Donkey Kong score is 600,000
If your high is 1.1 million in Donkey Kong Junior, than your equivalent Donkey Kong score is 900,00
If your high is 1.3 million in Donkey Kong Junior, than your equivalent Donkey Kong score is 1.1 million
Now if you have not reached the killscreen yet like most Donkey Kong Junior players, simply take away 20 percent of your score.
If your high is 400,000, than your equivalent Donkey Kong score is 320,000
If your high is 200,000, than your equivalent Donkey Kong score is 160,000
Well I hope this helps. If someone thinks this rule of thumb is whack, and you think you have a better rule of thumb in converting Donkey Kong Junior scores, than by all means pipe up.
