MisFit Mame Help with D2K Running

I just got done downloading MisFit MAME and I got that and DKong us set 1 rom running but I have downloaded the d2k rom ver 1.2 which is labeled dkongx. I placed them both in a folder that I made and I have called it roms. But MisFit says it cant find the ROM. for D2K Can anyone help I want to try my hand at some D2K with save states. Thanks

What is "misfit" Mame? Does it support dk2 at all? Wrong names on files?

Hey it supports D2K, frankly I thought it was the only Mame that had it but I could be wrong the file names are right, it just says some files are missing when I click to start it up. Thanks for any help from those who have D2K on mame

never heard of Misfit, I use wolfMAME 152 to play D2K and that works fine

For 152 do you just need dkong rom and the Ver. 1.2 d2k rom as well?

The ROM name for D2K is dkongx

The ROM name for regular DK is "DKong" (US set 1) ....linked under "Want to play Donkey Kong on MAME?" on this page https://donkeykongforum.net/index.php?topic=653.0

I think you will need the regular DK ROM too in order get D2K working iirc

Drunkguy I got mame 152 working but I cant find the file menu like on 106 I wanted to run the game in a window and record game play but the main menu only has 2 options as if you had hit tab in 106. Let me know if you can help once again.

No worries, to record INP you open up the WolfMAME152 folder

inside there should be a file named "record", double click it and it will take you to the game menu then you just select D2K and its now recording.

to play in windowed mode hit "tab" \ Input (General) \ User Interface\ then scroll down trough the options till you come across "Toggle Fullscreen"
and map any key to trigger window mode.

yeah it sucks that 152 dose not have the layout of 106plus 

Edit: oh and also in the WolfMAME152 folder there is "Playback" which will playback your recently recorded INP.
