I can't think of a single instance where someone suggested something for the forums and Jeff didn't put it into action almost immediately. You da man Jeff.
Now, about these badges.. How will they be issued?
One solution is to allow all forum members access to all badges, and simply have each individual pick and choose which badges they want displayed. Of course, this method expects forum members will not grab badges they haven't earned, though this is all for fun and I probably shouldn't even worry about such things.
Couple badge ideas:
1.) Has blog
2.) Created thread with X amount of replies/views
3.) Fireball whispering badge (not exactly sure on qualifications here)
4.) MAME killscreen badge separate from Arcade killscreen badge?
5.) Keyboard icon signifying its wearer prefers to play DK with its proper controls
6.) Joystick icon signifying its wearer prefers playing on the Arcade
7.) DKJr killscreen
8.) DKJr. million
9.) DK3 badge of some sort? Nah. Probably not necessary.
