Monitor help!!

Well like a complete dumbass I'm moving my donkey Kong machine and I decided to take the monitor out so it's lighter to move and I accidentally broke the glass bulb on the back. Is there anyone out there that knows a replacement part and how hard it will be to fix?

Bummer.  The replacement part is a sanyo 20EZ.  You could do a tube swap from a TV, but would have to track down a compatible tube.  A tube swap may also require a yoke swap.  It doesn't look like you damaged the yoke.

Sometimes you see Sanyo 20EZ's for sale on KLOV and the like, with no chassis, in which case you would just swap your chassis over.

That's pretty much what I feared. Well can you somehow convert the new LCD arcade monitors to work with the dk board? And if so would scores still count? I was gonna shoot for a kill screen once I move. Well I guess I have sanyo ez 20 parts for sale cheap

If you can find a complete 20ez, and they do come up fairly often on KLOV, that's going to be a much easier repair.  You've already done the hardest part of a 1-for-1 sayno 20ez swap - removing it from the cab.

Going to LCD, aside from the taboo of it and of course input delay and overall playing experience downgrade, which should be enough to not want to do it , you will need to:

1) Get a NIN2JAMMA and something like a GBS-8200.
2) Connect NIN2JAMMA to unused edge connector on DK PCB.
3) Wire RGBS and power from NIN2JAMMA to GBS-8200.
4) Figure out how to mount the LCD in the cab.
5) Run VGA output from GBS-8200 to LCD.
6) You will also need to power the LCD somehow, probably just running a power cord out of the back of the cabinet (the outlet at the bottom of the cabinet is 100V, may or may not work to power an LCD, not recommended).

:edit: not sure how and LCD converted but otherwise original cab score would be received.  Will leave that call up to the almighty jry.

I put an ad on Craigslist and a guy messaged me saying he has a sanyo but it has no neck glow. I'm no monitor expert would swapping all the parts be easy enough or is no neck glow a major problem? Thanks for the help...he wants 60$ btw

Hmm...haven't seen that product from Mike's before now, but that's certainly a good solution.  Leave it up to Mike to come up with a solution for everything. 

That monitor with no neck glow should be fixable with your working chassis.  Obviously, visually inspect everything before purchasing, specifically make sure there's no cracks on the neck (like where your's is damaged), and make sure no pins are busted where the neckboard connects.

And once you get that monitor working, you can sell off the non-working one to recover some or all of your expense.

Do you think there would be big input lag?

I generally assume that, unless advertised as super low latency, that LCD stuff will have a noticeable input lag. Unless there's something on Mike's that states all its LCDs are low latency or something.

Success I know its been forever since I posted this but I ended up moving and I just now had a chance to work on it and I can't believe it worked like a charm just switched monitor boards and it fired up flawlessly. Thanks for everyone's help.
