You do realize that McCurdy is one huge game away from busting your record? Odds are your record gets busted way before mine.
Unlike some people I don't put my entire identity and self-worth into a single record I hold, so when it happens I'll support him in any way I can 
First off, if we were to take away all your accomplishments with Donkey Kong, and it's clones (yes this includes Crazy Kong and it's clones), and then if take away all my accomplishments in relation to Donkey Kong 3 and it's clones, and difficulty settings. Guess what? When it comes to all other CAG/MAME games my list of accomplishments is a tad bit better than yours.
Second off, your classic gaming identity is much more tied to Donkey Kong, than it is for me, and Donkey Kong 3.
About 99% of your popularity comes from Donkey Kong. You have been the Arcade champ for over a year and a half, and half a year extra before that. That's two years being the Donkey Kong champ.
2 years of being the Donkey Kong champ equals 200 years of being the Donkey Kong 3 champ.
So even if you lose the Title tomorrow it won't matter. You see ten years from now in the CAG world you'll be known as the guy who had the Donkey Kong title. For the rest of your life you'll be under Donkey Kong's shadow. You could match the accomplishments of Matt Hall, and you'd still mainly be known as the guy who had the Donkey Kong record.
Like I said, Donkey Kong 3 gets about 100 times less publicity. I have spent a ton of time on other games, but I'm still known as the Donkey Kong 3 guy. So get used to the idea of only being known as the Donkey Kong champ by the majority of people who know about you.
