I have one, and with some adapters, I got it going in my DK. I'm working on creating a PC-based HyperSpin setup in there with a custom built CP (Robotron is calling to me) and I'll be retiring this sucka once and for all.

The emulation is bad, the game selection is questionable (a third of these "classics" are junk that would be at home in a Crap tourney), and the menus/music are pretty wretched. It more or less gets the job done though if you want all of your Pacs and Kongs and Dos in one place.

The thing that amazes me about these boards is that such a weak product has such a deathgrip on the market. How can it be that, in the years since these have been released and been so successful, nobody, across that big length of time, <Walter> has ever made a superior product at around the same price, when the bar set by these boards is so low? Something with more/better games, a snazzier, more HyperSpin-like menu, and a core based on a MAME version that isn't a decade and a half old. I guess everyone stateside is afraid of being sued, but c'mon China, go for it.

MAME has now gone fully Free and Open Source, it'll only be a matter of time before new *legal* MAME-based products start entering the market.

True, MAME is now open source, but the games themselves are still anything but.  Kappa

The quality control is all over the place on these bootleg boad,s and i've personally played 60 in ones that have had horrible lag. I can only vouch for the arcadeshop boards (that use MENUSYS) as i've played them on location and they are flawless. not sure if you can still get them, though.

I have a cabinet with a 412 in 1 in it. The main classics to me play fine dk, pacs, galaga, burger time, and such. The later games with better graphics are the ones with sound and lag problems. Out of 412 i would say 200 of them are acceptable emulations. I have no problems with dk on it imo. The menu music is completely nauseating but you can turn it off.

I recently upgraded to 412-in-1. I was pumped to be able to play Krull, but when I got to the second screen the fire button didn't work. Anyone else confirm? All other games I played worked fine although I haven't played all 412 games.

Krull has a dual joystick control panel: http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8358

A single fire button won't cut it. :(

I can confirm Karate Champ.

I played Krull at Funspot a few years ago but no I don't recall it having two joysticks. The game got played on Starcade a lot but they never really did closeups of the control panel. But here's visual evidence:
