and cheating in another DKO by pretending to be a woman and using a fake name.
I'm always ALL in favor of busting a cheater, but doesn't this seem a little petty? what cheating is there in this on an online contest? You're just wasting your own damn time the more entries you put in, unless there's prize moeny involved for 2nd and third AND you win more then one paying position.
Money, Pride, Self Respect; those are just a few of things at stake during these online events. I 'm not necessarily sure what you mean by "wasting your own damn time", I'm pretty sure that is how competitions work, you get out what you put in, in general. Hard work is rewarded, rather than cheating. Most people don't like having valid attempts discredited by fake attempts, it tends to "bring down" the spirit of the competition, and the scores, in general, if only for the other players involved.
Also, IMO, the assumption that a specific score is achievable in a matter of time, is totally bogus. You need a certain set of skills to get a certain score, end of story.
It seems (to me) (
) like you are arguing against the concept of "repetition based competitions" in general, rather than the current, repeated infringement-cycle. At the most basic level, the event coordinators don't deserve to throw their money at cheaters. I don't see a way "around" this, aside from just having everyone submit their pb game, but what's the fun in that...?
Now, as far as jumping on someone when they're down, I can see what you may be alluding to, but that wasn't what was said.
