I read the phrasing correctly the first time, and I agree that 3,000 is at least a decent estimate as far as competitive classic gamers active in the last few years in some capacity (yes, including speed runners). I would say there might be others in parts of the world on their own sites, in there own languages, at their own arcades, or in some other way still compete without being on our radar. Heck, even if we triple that 3,000 for those unknown gamers, we're still only at 9,000 worldwide.


I underlined worldwide because you are clearly comparing to a subset of the world. There is no real International equivalent for that side of the comparison since you're looking at one party in a certain political environment in one first-world country. That's part of why I asked about the source, too. It looks like you are using very vague probabilities like "1 in 5 are republicans" which sounds believable in that it would be less than half, but is it based on a reliable source on percentage of transgender homosexuals and political affiliations?


I'm not questioning you, George, I just want to make sure we get this thing right so we all know just what rare and special unicorns we are.

23 percent of homosexuals are republican according to a survey I read using my google search.   Yes, not the greatest way to do it.  I figured transgenders might be more inclined to be democrat.

I forgot to answer a question from earlier.  Should Caitlyn Jenner be allowed to compete against women in Donkey Kong?  Well when it comes to athletics I dont think male to females should be allowed to compete against women.  I being a 5 foot 10 inch man have no height advantage against males.  But make me a woman, and now I have a height advantage of six inches, which in turn makes me have an advantage against woman since height is a plus in many sports.  Since Donkey Kong is hand eye instead of height I would say I am undecided on the issue.  I have not thought the issue out enough to decide one way or the other.
