Question: Tournament page says that the allowed ROMsets are "marioo" (revision G) or "marioe" (revision E). The tourney page doesn't specify a required MAME version.
The issue with this is that as of MAME 193, "marioo" no longer exists. Revision G was renamed from "marioo" to "mario" since it was (rightfully) promoted to being the parent set. The pre-193 "mario" (revision F) became a clone set and got renamed to "mariof."
This tournament only goes for a few more days, but you might want to add a note about the change, because this issue will come up again in future Mario tourneys.
We want to be sure everybody's using revision G or E, and NOT using revision F, so the note should specify:
MAME 192 and prior: marioo or marioe
MAME 193 and up: mario or marioe
Hopefully that all makes sense...
