Historical Top 10 Donkey Kong Score Progression

Hi. Here's a chart.

The top 10 Donkey Kong scores at the end of every month, from August 1999 through the end of November 2017. 220 months. I started with August 1999 because that was the last month that Billy's 874k was the WR.

Please note, this is not a progression of the top 10 PLAYERS...it is only showing the top 10 SCORES. Also shown in red is the average of those top 10 scores over time. The big purple shaded area shows the parity of the top 10...the standard deviation of those scores. So, when Ben Jos topped Billy's 874k in September 1999, the skill gap was at its largest among the top 10 players. August 2015 was when the top 10 were most evenly matched (if you go by scores). Left-side y-axis is score, right-side y-axis is parity/standard deviation of those scores.

Usual caveats with this kind of data apply: I can only chart what I know and there were certainly many players who were better than 300k-400k back in the day. Also, this takes into account unofficial but generally trustworthy scores ()...scores by and Scott Kessler, for example.

Yea, now that the KoK subject material is no longer profitable, only until recently I get full credit for being the first to beat Billy's 1982 arcade record.

 So what your saying with this chart is Billy Mitchell, Steve Webie and Walter Day got paid thousands of dollars to lie to the public about the game history they were supposedly the...."OFFICIAL" Twin Galaxy custodians of,  then help market the lie to the public as fact in a feature film?

The complete TG video submission from 8/2000 is "STIIL" available for viewing and STILL Listed as "OFFICIAL" for the last 17 years.

Ben W's score was also done Via MAME not on an actual arcade game as mine was on original arcade hardware per the "Offical"  TG requirements.

So let's watch that "so-called" KoK Documentary again and all have a good laugh at the Hollywood scum Seth Gordon as he directs paid puppets Steve, Billy, Walter and their minions to lie through their teeth about who did what and when and market false statements as fact.

Let me get this straight,

Here in 'Murica

If your Mike Flynn, the USA National security advisor, and get caught intentionally lying to the FBI, you get fired and ousted.

But if your Seth Gordon, Walter Day or Billy Mitchell or Steve Webie and get caught intentionally lying to the public via a feature film, you get to profiteer publicly and financially off of the previous stated  lies marketed as fact and are hailed as "heros"?
