Donkey kong inconsistency.

How many of you guys find yourself to be so inconsistent with dk scores. Like my PB is 200,013 but ill boot uo the game and so often my first like 5 attempts will die before the second elevator. I also find myself quiting as soon as i loose my first life and re starting. Thoughts??

Definitely.  I just got my PB over 500k.  I guarantee you 5 out of my next 10 games will either end in rage quits or scores under 100k.

Off topic but how long have you been playing, i started last month and im so obsessive I end up playing everyday, how long has it taken you to get a 500,000 plus score?

Well, I was 10 when it came out in the arcade, so I played as a kid.  I started playing again about 2 years ago, just casually.  By watching videos and streams of the great players here, I've slowly learned what to do and what not to do.  Actually DOING those things is another story, but I'd say it's probably 6 months of playing at least once a week, moreso lately, that got me to 500k.

I've been playing for about a year but I only play on the weekends for a couple hours. My PB is 523,500 and I would say most of my games end around 200k something. But I also try point pressing which I suppose is kinda stupid since I don't have a KS under my belt. I reset if I die before lv 4.

I've been focusing on other games lately.  The high score save kit I installed a month ago has two high scores saved so far - around 290k and 280k.  I've probably had 50 starts on the cab since installing the hssk.  I had 4 starts this past Saturday - all (4) deaths on L1-1.   Turned it off in disgust and went back to other games.

I find that if I'm not playing regularly and the least bit tired, hung over, etc, it's damn near pointless to even start a game.
