Barrel Re-Directs on Girder to Kill
« on: September 26, 2015, 06:25:26 am »
Check this out.  Probably just an anomaly caused by the position of the barrel at the edge of the screen creating an optical illusion, but the barrel that rolls off the girder appears to start rolling right and proceeding off screen but then as I come down the ladder, comes back to the left.

Anybody seen this before?

Wow, that's no optical illusion!    I've never actually noticed this happen before but I just checked it and it does happen if you repeat those actions.

The first barrel doesn't decide to exit.   The second one definitely decided to exit the screen because you're x pixels above it, but then decides not to exit when you start climbing down the ladder and comes back in.

Yeah if you descend the ladder before the barrel has a chance to roll off screen it can roll back into play.
This is something mainly used in Crazy Kong to stack/group barrels together,

Video example is from Phil's WR game
