I figured I might as well start one since all the cool kids are doing it...

So after my most recent Donkey Kong attempt, I thought it'd be a good idea to blog about my quest for a million points. I achieved my kill screen game of 920,100 points in the very early morning of June 28th after playing the game since around August/September of last year, and about a month later is when I started trying for a million. So far, my highest score on million pace is 619,800 on 14-2. I've had a couple of other games that have gotten a little over halfway, but I'm still waiting for that breakout game. Now, since I'm currently attending college, attempts will be infrequent at times, but I'll still try to play when I can. On the days I do play, I'll post an update here that includes my highest score of the day as well as an INP of said score. However, me getting a million will not mark the end of this blog. From then on, I'll use it to post progress on whatever other CAG goals I'm set on at the time (plenty of which are Kong-related).

With that said, it's time for some DK. Here's to hoping I get that million before .

Not off to a great start now, are we? This one started off looking promising until I had a total collapse on level 6. That last death in particular was pretty special.

It's been a while since I've updated this page, hasn't it?

Alright, here's the new plan: Provided that school doesn't bog me down, I will stream DK every Friday night and Saturday night (and possibly Sunday afternoons) until I get the million. This will begin tomorrow night. I've had a number of games so far that have gotten a bit past the halfway point, and my highest level on million pace is still 14-2. I hope to change this in the coming attempts, and I hope to see you all on stream during those attempts!

Also, I will no longer be posting INPs of each game here, but what I've been doing instead is highlighting all my past broadcasts so that my progress over time can be observed.

So this weekend has been very productive! I streamed about eight hours total across Friday night and Saturday night, and I had four games out of those eight hours that went deep. As of now, my best game on million pace is 651,000 on 14-6. Let's try and make next weekend even better!

It's about time I updated this... In the very early morning of August 17th, 2019, I did it. I finally joined the million-point club, with a score of 1,032,100. That 976,100 I got back in January haunted me for months, but at long last, I can rest easy. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/468372604

So what's next for me? Well, in the near future, I'll be trying for 200k on Intrepid. In November, I also intend on playing in a shmup tourney called La Calice Cup, run by DenT4F. It should hopefully be a fun rest of the year! And hopefully, getting 200k on Intrepid won't take anywhere near as long as getting 1m on DK...
