McCurdy is closing in on getting 10 1.2 million point games
« on: February 24, 2019, 11:41:19 am »
So again, McCurdy has gotten a 1.2 million point game today.  Why is this important?   It's his 9th 1.2 million point game.  By far more than anyone else.  As far as the 1.2 million point rundown goes he destroys the competition.  No one else is even close.  In fact he has more 1.2 million point games than everyone else combined.

1.2 million point games

McCurdy 9 times
Lakeman 4 times
Saglio 1 time
Copeland 1 time

What's an 8818?
What's a RNG?

8818 is the rivet average in the current wr game, which is largely a result of six sigma rng.

RNG is random number generator, which is where randomness comes from.

Six sigma means that something was 6 standard deviations above the mean one way or the other, in this case on the good side. In a normal distribution this is well within the top 1% of potential outcomes.

Standard deviation is the square root of the variance.

Variance is the sum of all squared differences between the mean and actual results. For example, in the set 4,8 the mean is 6 and the variance is (4+4)/2, so 4, the standard deviation is the square root of 4 so 2. You square it to kill negatives, basically.

Actually it's way more than that.  It's easily over 1 in 100,000 odds.  You could play a lifetime of rivet games and not get a 1 in 100,000 game.

Six sigmas is actually 99.99966%, so maybe about 1 in 300k. Well above 99% indeed.
