How many submissions now for Donkey Kong Arcade Archive?

I was wondering if the number of submissions has surpassed the number of submissions on the Donkey Kong forum list yet?   I saw a picture of Donkey Kong Caravan high score list, and it's already at least 106 submissions.
Seems like the the submissions have been crazy insane high.
I don't think there is anyway Jry can keep track of that.

The Switch only allows you to view the top 100 scores or to see where your own score is located in the rankings.
   
So I purposely posted the minimum score of 7700 to the "High Scores Mode - International Version" and it was ranked as #946 which is double the number of scores (447) listed on this forum.

Here's a breakdown of those 946 scores:

1.1m - 1 (WCopeland)
1.0m - 1 (serphy)

800k - 1
700k - 1
400k - 5
300k - 7

To me I regard this as a much truer break down of where people actually stand among "all" donkey kong player, from casual to serious.  For instance a person who can get 100k on Donkey Kong is in the top 10% of all Donkey Kong players.  A person with a 200k score is in the top 3% of Donkey Kong players.  A person with a 300k score is in the top 2% of Donkey Kong players, and  a person with a 400k score is in the top 1% of Donkey Kong players.

So this proves to me that the Donkey Kong high score list is skewed towards players who take this game super hardcore.  This list gives a truer idea of where a Donkey Kong score ranks among people from casual to serious.  Thanks again for the break down.

Whenever I approach something I typically try to become competent amongst the people who actually care about the thing. Donkey Kong is deceptive in that you can be 99% as good as someone else and be a mile away from them in terms of score. And that's where the grinding comes in.

I've said it before and still believe that there are at least 20 players who could get 1.15 if they got average rng and avoided making their dumb mistakes. Just need to grind to get those things to come together.

Using the Japanese version is by far the most popular choice on the Switch.

On the Switch you have to select which version of the Donkey Kong code to run and by looking at the leaderboard statistics it shows that the two Japanese versions (Early and Later) are more popular than the (US) International version.

Could be, or it could also be that the Japanese version is the first one offered and you have to navigate to international. I'd guess that most people don't plan to play the 'correct' version, and just go with the first one presented. Haven't got the Switch with me at work but I think the order you go through them on the menu is, Japan Early, Japan Later, International.
