I’ll be using the following joystick to build my MAME controller this year. It’s an Ultimarc UltraStik360:
https://ultimarc.com/ultrastik_info.htmlDeciding on this stick has raised yet another question about how I want my setup to be. There are optional restrictor plates that can be installed but they are not readily interchangeable after construction. I must decide what plate I want.
The option I’m leaning toward most heavily is the octagonal restrictor plate. The sum of my conflict is YES it looks like a great way to go but NO these aren’t very common and would differ enough from traditional 4-way and 8-way restrictors that it would affect my gameplay in the wild.
