This afternoon I broke the TG and MAME highscores on marathon Black Widow. 472,650.
The problem (and massive oversight on my part) was using command line MAME (wolfmame-0159) and forgetting to disable NVRAM. Or just use the freakin' record.bat as Mr. George Strain had advised in the past.
So... the INP doesn't play back properly.
But I was able to grab a screenshot of the score. Even if I can't submit it anywhere, I know I did the score and that's good enough for me.
I am, however, pretty bummed that the playback doesn't work because the enemy behavior/spawning was absolutely nuts on the last 2-3 boards and I really would've liked the ability to rewatch it.
I don't know what wave I finished at. I wasn't paying attention.
Either way - "got 'em."
