This year's IGBY is on the horizon, and a post from Jojo in the chitbox has got me thinking.
Given the huge level of participation in past tournaments, and the fact that it attracts the absolute cream of the (non-Japanese) classic arcade gaimg world's players -
wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity for the The U.S. National Video Game Team® to step up to the plate? With the The U.S. National Video Game Team® on board, the giants of Marp, TG, and Virginiawillbehahaha would have something to reckon with.
And surely the media attention which would inevitably follow the The U.S. National Video Game Team® 's involvement (starting with the
Denton Advertiser, granted, but doubtlessly being picked up in time by the nationals) would benefit the tourney as a whole?
I'm sure the members of The U.S. National Video Game Team® will be raring to go:
Efforts to ensure the history and legacy of The U.S. National Video Game Team® have been in motion since Summer 2015.
Summer 2016 - the one year anniversary! Come on, The U.S. National Video Game Team®, what are you waiting for?
I'm sure Wolf would be happy to extend an invite to The U.S. National Video Game Team®, and it probably wouldn't be too tricky for Wes to add a registration option for members of The U.S. National Video Game Team® on the website.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with this guy Patrick to see if he'd want to get involved?
