For perspective: 4 years ago, the arcade world record was 1,090,400. (Hank bumped it up in May that year to 1,110,100.)
It's pretty remarkable that within the space of 9 days, Jwade and Jason both got a score that would have beaten the record in 2012. At the time, only Hank, Dean, and Jeff Willms were anywhere near capable of 1.1, and, since Kong Off 2 was approaching, DK was actually getting more play in those days than it is now.
At the time, 1.1 was hardcore, no-way amazeballs, 1,050 was considered an exceptional score, and even a flat 1M was enough to get you your own cab at the Kong Off 2.
Nowadays, these newest 1.1s, which again, would have been big enough just 4 years ago to beat the arcade WR, are a mere 8th and 9th place!
It's been an amazing thing to watch this game evolve.
