Bought a DK Jr cabinet
« on: May 25, 2015, 05:16:57 pm »
Just picked up a DK Jr cabinet. This is my first arcade cabinet. Overall it's in pretty good shape. Missing side art on one side. Plays great. All original except for a HSS Kit upgrade.

I plan to add a Donkey Kong TGK-4 board and a Vector Labs switcher.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks!  So far I am happy with it. This is my first arcade cabinet other than a MAME cabinet that I built myself.

Now I just need to PRACTICE!!

Very nice.

Any time you can get a machine with original sideart on it, you did okay!

Also, this is a minor, silly thing, but I've noticed in some of your posts that you have been using the term "TGK-4" for the DK boards. You need to swap the G and the K (it's TKG). :)

Thanks for pointing that out!  Now of course I will develop a complex and anytime I try to write or say it I will get it wrong. In all seriousness, thanks for the correction. I am here to learn from those with more experience than me.

I just ordered the edge pin adaptor from Vector Labs. Thanks for the link!

Congrats on the machine, looks great! I need to look at getting that switcher myself, I am so lazy about switching out the pcbs.
