Title: Real life Donkey Kong pictures
Post by: LMDAVE on February 05, 2013, 06:25:43 pm: I remember having a conversation with Mitch the other day about the Donkey Kong boards, and there was a lot of confusion on the pie factory related to real life construction. I think DK is based around more old school skyscrapers. So, I thought it would be cool for each person if they can find a real life picture that related to one of the 4 Donkey Kong Boards. However, I'd love to find an old picture of using trays to hold cement transferred on a conveyor belt. I really think that situation existed.

I think this is a perfect one to start with with has pretty good representation of the barrel board with girders and ladders.

It's always kind of bugged me that people call them "springs" (not to mention the cement pans "pies"), but I shrugged and accepted it long ago knowing that I would never singlehandedly change the world on that. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

(The MAME cheat menu calls them jacks! So that's a small victory...)
