Title: Pie Factory Screwing

I had this happen to me tonight.  I've never seen it happen so fast.  Anyone else ever run into this?

Haha, DP.

I saw the title and thought "DP" was some new gameplay acronym you guys were using, but you definitely meant it the old fashioned way.

Maybe not exactly that, but for sure i've had fireballs come down immediately, just at the right time so that i'm basically dead if I grabbed the hammer.

Would you have survived if you went for the immediate hammer grab?

That sucks.

If I did grab the hammer I would have had a better chance at survival.  I didn't because I saw the fireballs freezing and thought I had the green light to go for it, but I didn't realize all of them didn't freeze.  Once I had started climbing up the ladder there was a pie right under me so going back down wasn't an option and then quick fireballs sealed the deal.  I just thought how strange it was when the fireball went down and to the right towards the ladder and immediately climbed up the ladder.  It was like he was on a mission and didn't wanna float around for a few seconds.

I saw that video before viewing this thread. I thought it was funny. I never had that exact thing happen but I was climbing the same ladder one day and a fireball came straight over and down, and even though I managed to get off the ladder and started down the next one to the very bottom, he followed me down that one too. I mean, what do you do?

Yeah, that was a pretty sure death there. I would have made the same move of going for the free ride. Even after seeing it, if you went for the hammer, the fireball that came down the ladder and made a quick right probably would have been one of those "fireball in the belly after grabbing the hammer" scenarios. That was just one of those scenarios to hope doesn't happen during a game.
