Hey guys.
Looks like Twitch is planning on deleting your video history if you have more than 100 hours of highlights.
Although this won't affect that many of us currently, this could be the thin edge of the wedge.
It seem that you'll have to archive your old content somewhere else as Twitch is planning on saving money.
Could be happening in April.
I thought Mr Bezos wasn't short of a few dollars. Oh well.

I guess uploading WR dk games to youtube be good idea of saving it on your own hard drive if it can be downloaded from stitch

3 hours plus games add up fast . Yeah those should not be saved on twitch. I know i have a couple I lost most of my stuff when Rudy hacked my twitch.

I'm not surprised. Remember, before Twitch, there was Justin TV. When they became Twitch, they deleted all their videos. Even the gaming ones.
I was devastated when that happened.
At least they're letting you keep one hundred hours this time around

I cleared out some highlights on mine earlier. I had about 180 hours. Down to about 80 now. The majority were already on my YouTube. Exported some more and deleted some.
They claim only .5% of streamers are over 100 hours. I call BULL SH!T on that one.

New Storage Limits Starting April 19, 2025
We are introducing a 100-hour storage limit on Highlights and Uploads. This limit does not apply to Past Broadcasts (VODs) or Clips. Less than 0.5% of streamers exceed 100hrs & this content accounts for < .1% of hours watched. Use the new Video Storage tracker below to see if you are over the limit. Visit our Help Article to learn more about why we're making this change, how to export content you want to save, and what will happen to content over the limit after April 19th.

I had to delete every one of my past streams and a number of uploads, but I've tried to save as many important highlights as possible, and I've already downloaded and saved everything locally.
Awful decision on Twitch's part.
