What was my error on this spring? FailFish

My learning has always been "Wait in rightmost safe spot. Wait for spring to hit Kong's foot. Let this spring fly over jumpman's head. As it flies over his head, blindly run left to the next safe spot.
Obviously the "blindly run left" thinking ran me directly into a second spring before the next safe spot. The only thing I can determine is that I may have moved late from the first safe spot.

I believe you moved too late, you should start moving a bounce before, so that the spring's movements and Mario are aligned perfectly. By waiting for the opportune spring to go over your head first, you allowed the next one to nab you.
