I came across this lot on EBAY the other day for 9.99 and had to get it.
A bunch of un-used scratch-off game cards, one for each level. As you can see on the instructions they call the prizes birthday cake , phone and lunch pail. (instead of hat and purse)

A few other CAG cards were in it (DK Jr, Zaxxon, Frogger)

These random sticker cards with corny DK jokes on the front, with a piece of a large size DK puzzle on the back ( may actually do it if I get bored one day)

Pretty cool for the price I think.

Wow, I remember those! Nice find!

Nice find, Dave!
You should post another picture once you complete the puzzle, assuming the cards represent a full set.
-
Very cool little pieces of history there. I remember those too!
-
I can do you one better. About a month and a half ago I saw this guy selling Donkey Kong packs for .50 cents a piece. I offered him $15 for the complete box of 36 packs, and he accepted. 8)

That's a great deal. I wonder if the gum is still good? :)

These are cool finds, guys! I remember tho- .... er.... actually, I wasn't born yet! :D

Nice find!
For an extra $5 you can buy them with Hank Chien's signature from Alpiger: http://www.classicarcadegaming.com/forums/index.php?topic=2715.0 (http://www.classicarcadegaming.com/forums/index.php?topic=2715.0)

A fan gave me a pack at KO1. He advised me not to eat the gum.

My StarCraft cards are nice, but I think I'm gonna get some of these too!
-
Yeah, we all got the bubble gum pack at KO1 I think for being contestants.
George's gum pack deal has pretty much all mine had, so good deal there. Except this guy I bought from also threw in a few hockey cards also.
I don't know anything about Hockey. I mean, what's this Wayne Gretzky (whoever that is?) rookie card doing mixed up with my DK stuff? Oh well, guess the guy threw in some extra stuff.

Offer Vincent a piece during KO3. Chewing gum AND jumping barrels? I don't think so. ;)

Loved those! I bought a lot of those back then. I found a trading card store that had a bunch of cards from the 70s and 80s that were really cheap like Black Hole, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Elvis, Three's Company, etc. I bought some just to see how the gum held up. Some of them looked really bad and wouldn't eat them on a dare, but some were just a bit crunchier and tasted pretty much the same. :D
-
Yeah, I got a couple packs of the DK cards as a stocking stuffer.
They must have made trillions of those if so many are still around.
I left them sealed. Kinda want to try the gum though just to horrify my fiancee.

Crap! I didn't get a pack! No matter, I'm gonna get a few of them. I too am suprised how many are still around.

My Dad bought me a bunch of these, and I am missing a few cards to complete the puzzle on the back. There are actually 2, a red border and a blue border. There's a list that explains which cards are needed to complete the puzzles...somewhere online (i'm too lazy to re-find it right now).

I remember these well. I probably lost them (among other items) in my desk or locker in elementary school.
