Title: KS and age
Post by: naujoks on March 31, 2020, 02:28:41 am
Is it known who the oldest player to get a Kill Screen was?
I'm on 681.000 points, level 18 and I'm determined to get a KS. Hitting 50 this year and wondering if Kill Screens are generally a younger person's game.

It might be me, unless someone can claim otherwise.

My second kill screen (and first million point game) was achieved on March 11, 2018.

Age = 60 years, 1 week, 5 days

That's awesome and gives me hope that one day I might do it!  :)

That's your age at your 2nd KS? What about your age when you reached a KS for the first time?

My first kill screen was achieved on July 23, 2014.

Final Score = 952,100

Age = 56 years, 4 months, 3 weeks, 5 days

I basically ran boards, only taking 4 bottom hammers on the barrel screens (and 2 of them were on Level 22-1).

I think both oldest and youngest person to achieve a 1st KS would be an interesting "record" to track. With the former, 1st KS seems more relevant than simply oldest person to KS since the development of the skill to do so could have occurred many years prior if you'd KS'd before. I had wondered about this before the OP posted, but guess I'm nowhere close unless I wait 15 or so years before getting there myself...which I'm hoping not to do.

So I guess the record for oldest person to 1st KS for now stands at:
Age = 56 years, 4 months, 3 weeks, 5 days

Anyone know the youngest person to KS?

I think Tanner was pretty young for his first KS.  no idea how old though.
