For those who know him, I carpooled with Zerst to the 2013 CAGDC tourney. During the ride home, we got to talking about his work on dissecting the DKJr springboard. He told me he had posted on the CAGDC forums about it (and there is also some work done on it by Dean Saglio as well), and I found it in this thread. Just thought it would be helpful to share.

This may make some of you laugh, i'm normally pretty handy getting onto the floating platform, if not first time normally second. Yesterday wasn't my day!! Haha!! :D

WOW! I can't believe you still passed that board!
-
LOLed so hard @ :53.
The fact that you don't react emotionally at all, at any point, is what makes it.
-
Haha,
I must admit I didn't think I was going to make it.
Wouldn't want that happening to often!
Still, pretty funny though!
-
I don't know why this is so funny, I watched it 3 times and fking dying every time.
-
Ha ha. Awesome.
Needed perfect spacing at the top platform too for 2 jumps and in!
-
That was great, thanks for posting :)
-
Haha! I definitely wouldn't have been that quiet.
-
That was very entertaining!
This is why I didn't bother with the superjump when I was learning Jr. Too many boards like that one. Maybe someday I'll learn to superjump. Pretty much everyone I speak to says its easier that way, but I'm the master of making easy things look hard.

I have never seen Zerst play DKJR ... I don'nt know how he can say what he is.
But he is a great player of Many games.
I do remember him saying he is'nt that good at dk and stuff like that.

Brian, Zerst knows how to examine game code, so he looked into it cuz people were wondering exactly how it worked. So what he said was basically him just explaining the code. I think you can trust it. And he actually is pretty good at DK. He got bored of it when he was around 450k, I believe.

o.k. cool.
