Title: Elite players and fans of the community

I just realized that our community is completely the opposite of almost all other hobby/sports.  In almost all sports the fans far out weigh the elite players.
With us though the elite players far outweigh fans of the community.  Now I should mention I am not talking about fans of a king of Kong.  I'm talking about actual fans of the players of this community.
While I can name hundreds of elite players on one game or another. I can't think of too many fans.
Only two come to mind.

Hector Telloc, and Dave Gubernot
Because they are so rare I think our community really appreciates our two fans.
Maybe, I'm wrong, but it seems we have only two active fans.

People that aren't particularly proficient at any game and just hang around?

Like male video-game groupies?

I guess I could be considered just a fan, though I have been doing my own Donkey Kong and Crazy Kong PB attempts recently. I'm far from an elite player, but at least I'm trying.
