At 1700 hours PDT I will post a link to 37 screenshots from films released during the Golden Era of arcade video games (defined by me roughly as 1978-1984, <thefinger> everybody else).
You get a point for each movie you are the first to correctly identify by matching the film number (1-37) to the title.

The hint was going to be that the actor on this side of the door would be dead a little over two months after the film was released.

I almost whiffed on this one. I could have sworn that was Tom Hanks on top - looks like the same nose.

Hints for the films not yet identified:
1) That's an armory they're in. You'll notice the conspicuous absence of arms. Someone has misappropriated them.
2) That's a hospital they are in. The woman is a nurse. The man is not a doctor, but was a fairly well-known character actor who died within the last few years.
4) The gentlemen on the floor are US Marines. The one on the bottom thought he would surprise his old friend at his friend's office, but the guy on top was ready for him.
7) No video game associated with this one, but the title song was a hit by a well-known group.
12) That's not an assault you're witnessing, just an over-protective father trying to dry his daughter's hair.
31) That is a doctor calling his mother...that he previously believed had died 40 years earlier.
