Once upon a time, the woman pictured above made the news in connection to (now) classic arcade gaming.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to determine who she is and what her claim to video game fame is.
For the first person to answer correctly who does not already have one, I have a DK Forum t-shirt:

If you do already have one, you may PM me your answer and I will credit you in the thread. Others should post in the thread so we can laugh at their failed guesses.
I expect I will eventually have to provide clues on this one.

Carol Shaw, and her fame is making burger time?
Or perhaps it's Anna Cram, and her fame is having the record on Wonder Boy at one time?

Okay, one guess at a time. I don't want somebody posting every phone book in the country.
But no, it isn't Anna Cram or Carol Shaw.

Dona Bailey? Centipede programmer?

Stephanie Shaver-Lead designer for Hero's Journey

Fortunately, no. It's not Dona Bailey.
And to everybody: Please read the instructions before posting.

Stephanie Shaver-Lead designer for Hero's Journey

Separated at birth?
But no, the mystery woman is not Stephanie Shaver.

By way of hint, I'd say that Tim's guess was the "warmest".
This is Mystery Woman back in the day:

I might as well use up my guess.
Is it Ellen Gerstell? Voice of Princess Daphne from Dragons Lair?

You can guess as many times as you like, as long as it is one at a time, and I respond to one before you give another.
No, it's not Ellen Gerstell.

Let's proceed by expanding this photo gradually:

Julie Winecoff as she was known back then.
Julie Scoggins now

Julie Winecoff
Looks like that did it.
It is indeed Julie Winecoff (now Scoggins), the runner-up to Ok-Soo Han in the 1981 Atari Centipede Championships.

I had actually wanted to find a current picture of Ok-Soo Han and use her, but I was able to find her married name, husband's name, and even address, but no recent picture, so I used Julie instead. Julie has led a more public life since 1981, actually doing stand-up comedy. Search Youtube for Julie Scoggins.
PM me your address and shirt size (S,M,L,XL), jospehjo.

I remember reading about that contest awhile back. Was the 3 minute track I think and she had said Han bodied her completely IIRC. Is there any record of what Han's score was?

Han's score in the finals of the Women's division was 53,220, for which she won $4000.
Eric Ginner's score in the Open final was 52,341, for which he won $12000.
Perhaps Ms. Han should have entered the Open division...

Those are amazing scores and even today would stand at 3rd place. (record is 59k)

Damn. Go Han! Nice score yourself as well John. I think <Mruczek> typically mentions 3m centipede and DBH's score as his favorite or among his favorite CAG records. Being only like a 300kish player I don't know enough about the game or the track to make such statements but I trust that whatever DBH does on Centipede is likely miraculous.

Interesting read linked there, timhett. Complete with a quote from Julie:

I'm the girl that Ok Soo Han beat to win the women's division.
I won $2000 & my check bounced too, but Atari sent me a replacement check & all ended well.
This was also the cover story for Time Magazine's December 1981 issue.
I still have a copy plus my trophy & a tee shirt.
