FWIW I think the switch emulation is good. I have a high score of ~790K (13th highest currently), which is right in line with my high score on MAME. For the Switch I use an 8bitdo arcade stick modded with a Sanwa JLF with a shortened stem, 4-way gate and a plunger style button.
