Kong Klash 13 (OCTOBER 6TH & 7TH, 2023)

Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Vortex Arcade's Kong Klash 13, is happening soon on October 6th and 7th of 2023.
Every kong player is invited to come to Vortex Arcade in Sherwood, Arkansas and participate in an epic klash of apes, barrels, springs, pies and firefoxes.
The divisions and grand prizes for Kong Klash 13 are as follows:
Beginner - 100 to 199,900 - The Highest Scoring Competitor will receive a large trophy, a giant check to mark the occasion, and $200 in Cash.
Intermediate - 200,000 to 499,900 - The Highest Scoring Competitor will receive a large trophy, a giant check to mark the occasion, and $300 in Cash.
Semi-Pro - 500,000 to 999,900 - The Highest Scoring Competitor will receive a large trophy, a giant check to mark the occasion, and $400 in Cash.
Pro - Over 1,000,000 - The Highest Scoring Competitor will receive a large trophy, a giant check to mark the occasion, and $500 in Cash.
The tournament occurs over the course of two days with each day being separate for two divisions.
Beginner and Intermediate Players will compete on Friday, October 6th at 6 PM while the Semi-Pro and Pro players will compete on Saturday, October 7th at 12 PM.
Prizes will be handed out periodically throughout the day consisting of a variety of Merchandise and Cash Prizes!
Even-Hour Prizes - Merchandise Prizes including Mugs, T-Shirts, Hats, Posters, and More!
Odd-Hour Prizes - Random Cash Prizes of either $10, $25, or $50!
RULES OF THE KLASH
While there aren’t a ton of rulings that need to be made during Kong Klash Events, we do have a few.
1. The Judge’s Word is FINAL!
2. No Sandbagging or Poor Sportsmanship
3. No Outbursts or Profanity
4. No Inappropriate Behavior
This is a positive event! We support each other, no matter how much the pressure is on. Everyone should be respectful and uplifting to their fellow players.
Last quarter drop for Friday night will be 11:00 PM. Saturday night will 10:00 PM.
FLUKE OR LUCK?
We get it, sometimes you have a good day in the arcade and get an abnormally high score! But…can you do it 2 more times? If, as a Beginner Division Competitor, you consistently score three scores that are higher than 199,900, you will be required to advance into the Intermediate Division!
If you do happen to break that cap once during the competition as a beginner, you may move to intermediate by choice. However, if you break the score cap in Intermediate or Semi-Pro just once, you wil be required to move up the division ladder.
Once you break a division cap once, it’s only a matter of time before you do it again!
FEEDING THE KONG
As a Vortex Arcade tradition for Kong Klash, we will be serving all of our competitors Dinner and Snacks on Day One of the Competition.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner wil be served up for our competitors on Day Two!
We highly encourage everyone to stop by Friday evening around 5:00PM for a Meet-N-Greet and to enjoy the chill atmosphere at Vortex Arcade before the Klashing begins!
To conclude the barrel-smashing occasion, Sunday morning, breakfast will be served to anyone who is able to attend at 10am.

The event will be livestreamed and broadcast on twitch.
As we draw close to October, please keep your eyes peeled on the new Kong Klash website as we will reveal more registration details such as the fees, t-shirts, additional rules and important information.
