MAGFest 12 next weekend

I will be an invited guest at MAGFest 12 (Music and Gaming Festival) next weekend Jan 2-5, 2014 in National Harbor, MD (DC Metro area).

Last year they had 9000 attendees-- that's like 30 or 40 Kong Off's put together!  They have invited me down for the last few years and we finally connected this year.  David Hernly is one of the organizers.  He first approached me about 3 years ago, but it never came to fruition until this year.  Nick Marinelli (he was at Funspot-- the one organizing the Metal Slug tournament) approached me at Funspot and sealed the deal.  They are giving me a 1 hour panel on Saturday 11:30 am (Panel #3, although I don't know what that means at the moment) to talk about whatever I want.  That means I will spend every minute trash talking Vincent.

Additionally they are planning on having me play DK -

Hank vs. EtOH
Hank takes a shot of beer after every board (I warned them that I would probably vomit before my game dies off)

or

Pro vs. Joes
Hank (3+1 lives, 30 minutes) vs 4 randomly selected players (unlimited lives, 30 minutes)

P.S. Nobody on these forums is allowed to be a "Joe." 

If you bring your own arcade cabinet and leave it on FREEPLAY you get free admission, although I'm not sure if that option is still open.  If you're in the area please join in.  I have never been before, but it sounds like tons of fun-- an arcade set on freeplay, console games everywhere, bands, panels, film screenings and lots of mini-celebs.

If you want to hear insults toward you, you can just read the youtube comments from the Vice video hahaha.

Seriously though, I probably won't have wifi, so I won't be able to stream it.  Maybe someone will record it and post to youtube (someone did that when Wiebe spoke at the NW Pinball).

Anyway, the focus won't be on gameplay/strategy which is probably what interests most people here.  You have to know your audience; if I did that, I'm pretty sure people would fall asleep or walk out.  I'll be competing against rock bands and hot chicks in cosplay so I got to keep it interesting.  If I can convince Vince to come and take off his shirt, it will be a packed house.

I had you in mind as living the closest.  People in NJ are pretty close too. 

IIRC you killscreened live at KO3.  I'm pretty sure that qualifies you as a Pro.

EDIT: I pulled a Vincent and edited my typo, although I am pretty.

Stella. Got me a kill screen finally. I see that incredible score you got at 18-6. Did I beat you to it? Sorry to change the subject but I'd wish I'd knew about this event earlier I'd have went. Looks like it would have been awesome.
