Every tournaments been on my weekend with the boys and I can never get a game going. Lol, I'd be forever grateful if we could get the last one on Oct 19,20th. I'd be able to get about 30 games in compared to 2. No pressure though guys. lol.

Thanks to everyone that took part, and extras for Eric and John. It was a great time and I only regretted my Xsplit problems on Saturday and not being able to pull off a "Ross" at the end  ;)

Congrats everyone!  So many PBs, 4 1M+ scores, 5 killscreens.  Insane!

I saw the end of Ben's game.  So heartbreaking.  Why didn't you just run boards on your last man?  I'm pretty sure you had 1st place sealed.

OK, I filled data into my spreadsheet and I have a few additional interesting details.

First, let's look at who played but did not submit, and who registered but did not play!

The total number of registrants was 72. (This is listed incorrectly on the official reg. list as 68.)

45 scores were submitted, leaving 27 non-submitters or no-shows.

I'm following all of you on Twitch so it was just a matter of dumping all the "x just went live" email notifications into a folder, sorting by name, and then going through the 27 non-submitters. So if you went live at all this weekend, I'm counting you as a participant. Let me know if you were not playing DK!

Played, but did not submit:
1. Adam Mon
2. Andrew Gardikis
3. Chris Icenhour
4. Corey Chambers
5. Craig Rout Gallant
6. Dave McCrary (technical difficulties all weekend)
7. George Strain
8. Joe Kassel
9. Mitchell Elliott (Had a 590K game, which, as far as I know, was the best non-submitted score)
10. Nick Sheils
11. Richie Knucklez (I didn't realize how good Richie was! No submission though)
12. Robbie Lakeman (bad luck with the fireballs)
13. Ross Benziger (Apparently Ross will only submit a score to one of these if he wins ;D )
14. Scott Cunningham (Scott told me he wasn't comfortable streaming. No problem buddy.)
15. Steve Wagner (see his comments below)
16. Svavar Gunnar Gunnarsson
17. Tom Bradley

Total Actual Participants: 62 (the 45 submitted scores plus the above 17 players)

Registered but did not play:
1. Douglas Tessler
2. Dustin Pease
3. Edward Dietman
4. Hank Chien
5. Joseph Carroll
6. Jourdan Adler
7. Justin Lee Ramser
8. Kayla Rose
9. Ky Staal
10. Stan Trazka

Let me know if I got any of that wrong! It's quite likely that somebody or other slipped through the cracks because my method is imperfect.

WCQ SERIES SO FAR ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Averaged Performances

Of those who submitted scores for BOTH WCQ tournaments (25 players), here are the top 10 based on the average of each players' top scores in the two tourneys. (Dean, Corey, Dave, etc. are not on here because they only have one score and it would be unfair to base their "average" on one score when everyone else's number is based on two.)

1. Phil Tudose 1: 1,051,600 2: 1,020,900 Avg: 1,036,250  :o
2. Ben Falls 1: 869,100 2: 1,012,700 Avg: 940,900
3. Jeff Wolfe 1: 997,800   2: 846,300 Avg: 922,050
4. Jon McKinnell 1: 753,600 2: 1,019,800 Avg: 886,700
5. Steve Wilsthire 1: 602,800 2: 1,016,100    Avg: 809,450
6. Chris Psaros 1: 696,800 2: 893,100 Avg: 794,950
7. Eric Tessler 1: 512,200 2: 966,000   Avg: 739,100
8. Jeff Harrist 1: 678,200 2: 628,500 Avg: 653,350
9. Ethan Daniels 1: 605,900   2: 690,900 Avg: 648,400
10. Shane Mosher 1: 637,400 2: 630,100 Avg: 633,750

Total Player Pool (Registrants In At Least One Tournament): 83
Total Players Who Submitted At Least One Score For Either Tournament: 57
% Of Player Pool With At Least One Submission: 57 out of 83 (69%)

Total Players Registered in Both Tournaments: 48
Total Players Who Submitted Scores For Both Tournaments: 25
% Of Double-Submitters Out of Double-Participants: 25 out of 48 (52%)

Total Submissions vs. Registrations (WCQ #1): 37 out of 59 (63%)
Total Submissions vs. Registrations (WCQ #2): 45 out of 72 (63%)

Fun Fact #1: there are only 3 players who registered in the two previous WCR tourneys that did not play either of the "Opens" - Estel Goffinet, Daryl Kiddy, and Colman Paolo. (This brings the total combined player pool for all of the Tessler tournaments to 86 - can we hit 100??).

Fun Fact #2: only 4 of the "Top 12" did not register in either of the "Open" tourneys - Billy Mitchell, Steve Wiebe, Shaun Boyd, and Kyle Goewert. Jeff Willms, Dave McCrary, Mike Groesbeck, Robbie Lakeman and Dean Saglio have played and submitted, while Mark Kiehl, Hank Chien, and Vincent Lemay have registered but not participated.

You're right, Hank.  I didn't think of it until after though.  It was still a really fun game and I haven't had much fun playing DK in some time. :D

I played the last game on Richie's stream I think.  Quality was laggy and john salter stopped by and told me it couldn't be verified so I fucked around a bit instead.  I think it was like 300-400k or something and then I got pulled off to go hang with my mates.

Sick scores all!  Congrats.

Sorry if it irks you that didn't submit, but, in my mind, I ought not submit anything less than about 850k -since I know anything below that is basically either an average score or simply unacceptable for me. There's no reason I shouldn't KS DK on almost any given attempt when I am just running boards -evidenced by the fact that probably 80% of my deaths are due to my own lapses in focus, rather than extreme screwings. This might sound cocky to some, but, for me, it's just me being honest with myself.

I'll hopefully play more in the next couple weeks before school starts again and maybe put a decent game together. I wanna get at least 900k+ by KO3 time.

@Chris

If it helps to complete your list I believe the best I did was 284k (however I deleted my recent broadcasts well before the deadline on Twitch mainly out of embarresment and due to the fact I had no intentions on sumbmiting a sub 400k score) So technically I have no evidence of it,

I could list a bunch of reasons why I performed under par OBS DC's/Lack of play on Saturday,..but they are only excuses, fact of the matter is I couldnt pull of a decent game when it counted, But was a very enjoyable experience so thanks to the people who put it together, Looking forward to the next one. Was also cool to see Tim play, He was pulling off some very cool moves, especially on rivet stages, .

Don't worry about not submitting. I am not judging anybody, and I am not actually irked, because I know that there are many reasons why one might not want to submit. Anybody who doesn't have a score on the list, for whatever reason, is in their rights to do so.  :)

I chose not to submit due to technical problems all weekend, even though the one attempt I had at the very end when I got the stream working was only 408K and just pretty much didn't play after that.

12. Richie Knucklez (I didn't realize how good Richie was! No submission though)

Richie was actually a 700K+ player back when there were only a handful of killscreeners.  He stopped playing shortly after we met back in '09.  Not sure if it was coincidental =).  I actually learned the elevators from his youtube video.
