This is quite an advanced move for someone struggling with the game. The top girder fireball is never easy in DK.

As a point of interest, in D2K, you actually have to do the "line up the barrel with the fireball" thing a lot because there's a permanent top fireball on the L2+ barrel screens, and because the barrel screens involve more mandatory fireball-dancing in general.

The wrinkle is that D2K fireball-jumps are 100% controllable because fireballs always keep walking until they either hit an edge or a ladder they want to use. In DK their directionality is random and they can turn around and smoke you at any instant.

Yea, I felt foolish for not recognizing how the fireballs behave in D2K when I first started playing it.  I just remember being like, dang, how are you supposed to make it far in this game if you have to jump all these fireballs? Then I realized they keep going straight and are much easier to jump.

I'm not sure if it's a "Pro Moment" per-say, but boy was I surprised to get off of that bottom girder alive!

Nice, Ethan.  I'd say that certainly qualifies.

Conversely, the L16 rivet stage of your 644,700 game belongs in the "In-game WTF Moments" thread.   ???

My biggest Dr. J jump.  The camera focusing in and out doesn't do it justice.

Same here, Mitch.  That was a first for me.

What they say about baseball might also be true for DK:

Dean had some lucky fireball jumps during a great game last night (had to use the infamous Staal Pattern too! ;) ), check out starting at 4:28:45.

Here is my best move from the wildcard tournement
http://www.twitch.tv/monstabonza/c/2037829

I probably shouldn't have ended up in that position but the game was already in the toilet.
Anyway it worked out an I'm happy

Not pro but I just noticed when looking at my footage for the wildcard rematch 2 that I took my second man 450k points. I haven't ever ran a single man that far. I didn't even relise I had even done it until just now looking at the footage.

I am posting this moment at the request of another player from whom I learned that such a thread existed. Thanks Ethan! http://www.twitch.tv/clchambers00/c/2136177 I should have not have been in this situation but since I was this was the way I pulled off an escape.

Didn't know to place this in pro moments or X-files, since its just a rare occurrence of luck.

Something we all wish would happen with the blue objects, almost as rare as the alignment of the stars:

PS I didn't benefit pointwise as much I would have thought on that 1-1
