Title: Rotated monitor in Stream
Post by: dimmu--borgir on December 30, 2013, 03:02:09 am
Ok. Will start streaming quite soon. Although I have the original cabs for the play I will usually play in mame since I have alot time to do it at work etc. I'm using an extra 19'' LCD with pivot/rotating function. Makes the screen really perfect.

The thing is that when I rotate it in mame it of course rotates in Twitch as well. I'm not expecting the whole world to watch my streams but no one will ever watch a stream that is 90 degrees to the West.  :) :-[ Can't find any rotating in Twitch either.

I have tried to rotate one screen in Windows but since the laptop screen and the extra is cloned it does not work. Only possible when I extend the desktop but the extended desktop is blank. I can sort of rotate windows and then rotate DK in mame but the resolution is really f*cked up then.

The only thing I can come up with is to let the Webcamera film my rotated screen but I don't think it's an option really.

Any help would be appreciated.

What program are you using to stream?

OBS.

Someone said that X-split would do the trick?

I use X-split just for that reason. I have one camera that mounts better sideways and I just rotate it 90 degrees with the z-axis settings.
