Victor is the greatest Swede ever lived! Alfred Nobel, Carl von Linné and Anders Celsius pales in comparison!  :o

He's also being streamed on 1337loungelive's stream (which is a stream that usually has hundreds of viewers), so hopefully he does well, and he'll be able to raise a ton of popularity for CAGs that way.

Title: Re: Missile Command marathon stream on twitch right now - 25 hours so far

Major accomplishment for Victor, and to fall short of the 176 bonus cities by 10 points to end the game. Breaking 100M was awesome.

The only little pet-peeve I have is the term killscreen used. It was always called the "zero x" boards, the board where it says x0 but you really get x256 then the game starts back over at level 1. The only time the term killscreen got associated with it was when it was wondered if on tournament setting if the "zero x" board would kill you off and be a true killscreen....Tony Temple later found out that it didnt and the game rolled over. But it was around the time the Victor started getting in to MC and referred to the zero x board as a killscreen, and guess it just stuck.  8) Just some minor trivia.

I agree with you there Dave. Probably more accurate to use terms like "0x" and "loops." But I wanted to be consistent with how Victor was tracking his stats.

Oh, and if you see this thread Victor: grattis!

Was this intentional?

No. His city count was 10 below where he thought he was. So, I believe he went in to the 2nd to the last screen thinking he had 15, when he really only had 5. On the last screen his city count read 13, but he only had 3 total cities to work with and lost them all. One or two smart bombs got away from him and that would have been enough to get the rollover.  :'(

For those who were there when it ended, how much longer did he seem like he could go? I left right around 101M and they were thinking he would end soon anyway.

At a couple of different points you could tell he was reaching his limit. I think I heard him say right before a break: "I'm going on break; I might not come back!" He did say he wanted "to beat George," which I'm assuming means he wanted to get to 85 hours. I think if he had managed to get that rollover he would have made it. 100 hours really seemed like a stretch, though.

Wow thanks Xelnia for the awesome statistics! :) Very interesting how stable the graphs are. I thought it would be flatter in the end when I started to play worse. But I guess it evened out because I couldn't afford as many breaks.

In the end I was starting to bleed cities pretty rapidly. I think I could have squeezed out a few more millions had I made it to the glitch! :)
