Donkey Kong Online Open: Kong Off 3 Wild Card Qualifier #3 ***FINAL*** Results
Eric Tessler and John Salter would like to thank everyone for participating! Here are the prize money winners, final standings and the top 10 KO 3 qualifiers.
IMPORTANT NEW CHANGE: We now have 10 dedicated wild card DK machines for the KO 3! This means that we will have a total of 20 players for Saturday: 10 from Friday's round and the top 10 from the online tournaments! Check below to see if you made it into the top 10!
The mystery player will be revealed at the KO 3 !!!

Fine, Chris: I submitted my 633,200. Had like 530k with 3 lives left.
That's got to be the 20th time I've gotten over 600k (most of those with multiple lives left) and DK just says, "Whelp...that's enough!" I hate this game.
KS will happen this weekend though. My eyes are just too tired for more tonight, they were starting to affect me on the Elevator Boards.

I remember someone saying the top 3 are not in, should this be updated, who comes in the last three spots. I just think keeping it up to date with the the WC3 scoreboard on the top of this thread would be cool.

FYI, Shane stated on his stream last night that he is definitely not going to KO3. His name can safely be removed from the list of qualifiers which takes into account who is not going.

Wow Dave is not going to the KO3 also ? The star players not going to the KO3 is starting to add up.
I have never been to the Kong Off but I always enjoyed watching Dave play or hear about his games after words ..

Alright, I have to say, with this Mystery Player thing, at this point everybody is in one of two camps. they either don't care, or DO want to know who it is and are getting annoyed. Either way we should get this over with.
We thought it would come out after the second tourney, and if not that, definitely after the third (since it's the end of the series).
Either tell us who it is or at least tell us when their identity is going to be revealed!

I agree, you guys RULE for running these WC tournaments. This has been so much fun, it really helps grow the competition, we get to rub elbows with the best players in the game (no homo), and it gives some potential $$$ to everyone for playing DK. I wish there was some way we could pay you guys back. I can't say thank you enough for your selfless commitment to the WCR and WCQ series.
Most Fun I've ever had in any gaming tournament series, ever (this was my first gaming tournament ever :'().

Sorry everyone, I've been out if commision for the last 24 hours with an ocular migraine. I guess the stress of the tournament, work, and family finally caught up to me.
Thanks for all the kind words. There's a lot that goes into these tournaments, but it's totally worth it! As for some way to pay us back... Everyone has already paid us back by participating, so no worries there.

Wow.... Just looked at the results and saw that I won a mystery bounty! Thanks so much, I really did put in a lot of hours to achieve this mediocre score, and I tried my level best until the last minute to improve on it - luckily for me it would seem, I didn't break through the 300k barrier I was hoping for. But that will happen sooner rather than later I hope.
Thanks again to Eric & John, and also to Chris for the rego/score submission pages which made it a lot easier to submit and most likely made Eric & John's job a fair bit easier too.
Eric, I'll PM you with my PayPal details shortly. This money will go some of the way towards buying a new PCB (unfortunately DK is too expensive) and saying it from ending up in a landfill.

Actually he was probably a bit unlucky, I had so many great starts (for my skill), including a best first man on 159,000 - I just could not covert any of them past my PB of 266,000. I think all up for the weekend I had 5-6 games over 220,000 and probably at least 10 games with a 100,000 point first man. I practiced like crazy before the comp using a L5 save state hoping it would help me progress, but it wasn't to be. Oh well, there is always next time.

Why is Shawn not listed in 10th if he has 680,300 and JC has 678?

I actually have a higher score than D dock for the top 10 online qualifiers on the first list ( the one that doesnt take into account who isnt going), so on the original top 10 list I should be listed as 10th, however, I shouldn't be on the second list. Not that it really matters but just good to give credit where credit is due.

Guys, this is what I have so far. Yeah I screwed up the first top 10, not taking into account who is going (Sorry Shane :)). The second list is just a best guess as we really don't know for sure who is going to show up or not, anything can change at any time. The top 10 list will have to be adjusted according to who actually shows up to the KO 3. Remember, this is not the final list of qualifiers. There will be 10 more spots available for the live qualifier on Friday, November 15th.
From my experience last year, I would guess it won't take a really high score to qualify for one of those spots.
There will be 20 contestants for Saturday, November 16th. 10 online qualifiers and 10 live qualifiers.

Awesome, you guys. I love throwing in the two extra cabs at the end as a surprise! And it answers an important question about the 22 cabs and what they're for.
I have to say, I'm glad that I thought it was only 8 spots. It made this series WAY more exciting and tense for some of us (definitely me!) and made us push harder. I was sweating those last few hours, because I was in the 6th spot (after removing the no-gos), and there were still several people playing (Ethan, JC, Doc, etcetera) who I knew could beat 893K and knock me out if three of them got a hold of a good game.

I streamed most of it last night I'll probably highlight it for posterity sake. I just need to hook up with Shane today and get a 4 way restritctor and then i can start going for legit records since everything else is good :D
Picture and sound is amazing in this thing. Totally worth it. They painted the cabinet black over the blue and put black t-molding on it (I can see the blue underneath sections where the black is scratched) so it looks to be 100% legit except for that and a few buttons. :D:
Shane I would love to come get that button restriction plate deal from you. I'll PM you.
