Title: My finest hour today.
Post by: dimmu--borgir on September 16, 2013, 12:30:51 pm
Killscreened DK j.r with a score of 689300. Got 349k on my first man and lost my second last man at 500k somewhere. Never felt such heartbeats earlier in my Life when I entered Lvl F.

Best arcade day in my Life.

Anyway, there are no proof of this. I shouted to my daughter to get the camera but she was in the shower..  :(
What do I have to do the next time I do this? Is a small video of the killscreen enough or do I have to record Everything to get on the list here? Doesn't need to be a killscreen however since I will start to hunt the million really soon.

Thanks to the Community, Mark Kiehl and George Riley. Couldn't done this without you!

congrats was this done on arcade or mame? If it was done on arcade a video of score and l=F + restart and display of 3+1 man settings is probably enough.

If mame an input file would be enough.

Big time congrats on that, and thanks for the shout out! It's nice to see another person start to play DK. Jr, and DK3! 8)

Kongrats! I hope you can figure out a way you can record the next one so you can get your name on the DKjr HSL! It always feels good to have your name in lights. ;)

Speaking of finest hours . . .

Last night's episode of "Breaking Bad" was one of the best hours of dramatic television I've ever watched.

Way to go! Yeah you won't have to add much to your game to get that million!

Though I predicted most of the significant plot points, that was a perfect episode. I agree.

I'm glad they made the episode real and didn't cop out for something phony.

P.s. Did you realize how Walt's phone call at the end was about him loving his family? ;)

Yeah, he obviously knew the police were there (and listening), so his intention was to exonerate Skyler from any wrongdoing.

Hey Mitch,

On another forum, someone posted a screen capture from the scene where Walt was rolling the barrel across the desert.  In the foreground was an abandoned pair of pants.  I didn't notice at the time, but it's a nice touch; probably the same pair he lost during the pilot episode, when he was driving the RV while wearing only his underwear and a gas mask.

Did you happen to catch that detail?

Wow! Two world champions congrats me and talking to me in my thread! Damn, this is huge! Now, where's Hank Chien?  ;)

Thanks for the replies although the thread was seriously hijacked at the end.

It was played on a original DK j.r cabinet. One of three in existance in my country. I also have the only (at least what we know of) DK cab in Sweden but that will be a later story.  I really don't want to play mame but if I have to for the recording, I will. Been playing this sporadically for years but only seriously the last three months. Have also played alot of DK3 before that.

Yes, you're right Mark, going for the mill will not be a huge problem. Will take some extra time though.

Stay tuned!

Congrats!  :)

To get recognized on these forums you can simply stream your game on twitch.tv.  If you want to submit to TG, you either need to play on MAME (and save the .inp) or for arcade submit a video to them.

Congrats man! Good to see someone else from the Nordic countries. If you are ever in Denmark come by and visit Chassis Arcade! :)

Thanks Hank (wow!) and all others.

@Svavar; yes I've heard about Chassis. Been discussed at Swedens largest (only) arcade forum arkadtorget.se. Member there? Also heard and read about your killscreen earlier. Great work! Did you play on original cab or "just" in a Danish only JK cab?
