Bravo, bravo, bravo!  Simply an amazing score, by an amazing player.  He has made my score of 1,313,800 on MAME look like child's play.  Congratulations to Mark Kiehl on probably the score of the year so far!

Nice job Mark!  I knew you would find a way to get the title back.  That is one hell of a score and will be tough to beat.

Well  I knew Marky could take this back it was just a matter of time.. But wow he just smashed that record hard.
I really don'nt see a reason for me to continue playing this.

Makes my 1,033,200 score just look really bad .. When it's really not

Great Game! Wow, I guess I did not think that 1.4M was possible. Looks like Mike is going to have to start playing Jr. again. :) Chris, glad to see you got this on the DK Jr High Score List!

I knew mark would beat my score i even said that in all my interviews and i knew 1.4  was very doable. i have my work cut out for me. GREAT JOB MARK!

Thanks a lot, guys. On this particular game I had a very strong start at 183k and fortunately worked out a few vine screens to my advantage using the 'drop the apple from the right' strategy and came out a bit on the plus side before abandoning it. I fortunately gained a good amount of points from my deaths so I was in good shape to finish at least just above 1.4m and was able to finish it off. I have zero doubt in my mind that Mike will retake this record, and I hope that he does soon. I feel pretty bad that he never got to see his name atop the TG leaderboard and I'm not sure how it happened that mine was put up so quickly. There is an event near me in the coming weeks, and I was thinking about going for maybe a higher score on Junior, but there's just no reason for it and I think I'll stick with DK and the other games while there. So I wish good luck to Mike in retaking the score, and I definitely will be waiting quite a while afterwards for any future attempts.

Superbly done, Mark!  While I admit to not knowing the first thing about DK Junior, even I can recognize that a score of 1.4 million (eclipsing an already impressive WR by more than 60,000 points) represents an enormous achievement.
