Title: PCB repair question
Post by: Jefferoo on January 17, 2021, 10:28:01 pm
Ey Donkey Kong Forum!

Forgive me if I seem a bit of a noob, but I ditched Facebook, so I?m seeking some advice here on the forum about one of my DK machines. I got a DK cocktail that seems to be DOA. When I turn the game on, I hear the jump sound, but I  get a solid blue screen on the monitor. I tested the board in my upright DK, and got the same result. So the PCB is the problem. I bought a ?rebuild kit? from arcade parts and supply, which turned out to be a cap kit (46 caps!) and that didn?t help anything. What would be the next suspected fail point? It just looks like the PCB is failing to boot the game. If anyone has a schematics for the 4-board TKG3 set, that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff
